CHILDREN'S MISSIONS

Children, Birth through grade 6, meet each Wednesday evening at 6:30pm for the Awana program.  Erin Conort is our Awana Director.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEAL

This ministry was started in January of 2001 at Union.  It has been highly successful and we have seen a significant increase in attendance for Wednesday evening ministries as a result of this meal.  We are providing a tasty and nutritious meal at a low price from 5:30-6:30 on Wednesday evening.  This relieves the burden of preparing dinner at home and allows you and your family to enjoy a good meal before participating in the Wednesday evening ministries.     Reservations are required.  You can view this week's menu, as well as make your reservations On-line, by clicking here for the reservation page.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH

In Children's Church we are providing a unique worship opportunity for Children ages 5-9 each Sunday morning.  This Children's ministry is held during Sunday Morning Worship and is tailored to meet the worship needs of children.  Children stay in "Big Church" through the choir special, then they are dismissed to Children's Church.  This gives them an opportunity to experience the singing, announcements, offering and prayer portion of the service before going to their worship time.  This is not a play time nor a babysitting exercise, but an opportunity for children to learn how to worship in their own environment and at their level.  We expect, that by the time they turn ten years of age, they will be ready to worship in "Big Church" with their parents and other adults.  This will also free mom and dad to worship without the distractions associated with little ones.  We are having a great response to this ministry.  Beth Thompson is our Children's Church Director.

WMU

The Union Baptist WMU meets on the 3rd Monday night of every month at 7:00 p.m.    Mrs. Jean Browning is the WMU Director.  This is a very active group that provides both mission activities and projects, as well as women's fellowship.  All women and young women are invited to come and participate in the mission activities and projects.

BROTHERHOOD

Brotherhood is active and under the direction of Brother Dennis Jones.  All men and young men are invited to be part of Brotherhood activities and projects.  The Brotherhood meets once a month around a meal and a speaker is normally invited.   This meeting is normally the third Monday of each month at 7:00 pm and begins with a Dinner.   All men  are invited to be part of this mission organization.

MUSIC

We have multiple music opportunities at Union ranging from age four through senior adults.  We are blessed with wonderful musicians in pianist Pat Scroggins, and keyboard, Betty Kimbrell.   Brenda Wallace works with the children's choirs.
